To ensure our program remains ethical, student-focused, and trusted by universities, we are implementing the following policy:
1. Neutrality & Private Agencies Policy
IBST will remain neutral and will not actively promote one private company over another when it comes to services like test preparation, essay support, or admissions packages. Additionally, private agents or representatives will be prohibited from visiting campus to market directly to students. All opportunities shared with students – such as college fairs, workshops, and events – will come directly from universities or accredited organizations.
2. Transparency Around Outside Counselors
If your child is working with a private college counselor, agent, or Independent Educational Consultant (IEC), please inform me. The guidance I provide may sometimes differ from external advice, and open communication ensures that students receive consistent, accurate information.
3. Official Transcript Requests
Students will now only receive unofficial transcripts. Official transcripts will be sent directly from IBST to universities to maintain trust and safeguard the integrity of our academic records.
Our College Counseling Mission
At IBST, our college counseling program is grounded in the belief that each student’s journey is unique. We are committed to providing personalized guidance that aligns with every student’s individual strengths, interests, and goals. Our approach encourages students to explore global opportunities and consider a wide range of educational pathways that best fit their aspirations. Throughout the entire college planning process, we aim to support both students and families by offering resources, advice, and insight at every stage, ensuring that each student is fully prepared to make informed decisions about their future.
