Dear IBST High School Students and Parents,

We are pleased to announce that the Elective Course Selection Form for the 2025–2026 academic year is now available for all students entering Grades 9 through 12.

This selection form includes a wide range of elective options—including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, Fine and Performing Arts, language studies, and specialized senior electives. Students are strongly encouraged to read the program overview and individual course descriptions before making their selections.

🔔 Important Reminders for Course Selection

To ensure that you are completing the correct sections of this form, please follow the instructions based on your grade level in 2025–2026:

  • Students entering Grade 9 or 10:
→ Only complete Part A (Elective Courses).
→ Do not complete Part B (Senior Electives) or Part C (In-Class Placement).
  • Students entering Grade 11:
    → Complete Part A and Part C (In-Class Placement).
  • Students entering Grade 12:
→ You may complete Parts A, B, and C, depending on your course selections.

📌 If you are selecting an AP course:
Dropping the AP exam at any time—even mid-year—will result in a revision of your academic record for the entire school year (Q1–Q4). Please make your choices carefully to maintain transcript and GPA accuracy.

📘 Key Notes for Course Planning

  • Students must select either:
➤ Two 2–3 hour courses, or
➤ One 5–6 hour course as their elective program.
  • 9th grade students must receive a teacher recommendation to enroll in any AP course.
  • As part of the graduation requirements, students must complete at least one Fine and Performing Arts course.
  • Courses may be canceled due to low enrollment:
AP courses require a minimum of 3 students
General electives require a minimum of 5 students
  • Please refer to the IBST Elective and AP Course Policy for detailed information regarding enrollment, withdrawal, and transcript policies.
  • Grade 12 students interested in Study Hours or VHS courses must confirm your graduation credit status with Ms. Jane (Ext. 7107).
