Objectives:
To align with the 12-Year Basic Education curriculum and provide students a platform to showcase their scientific creativity and highlight the achievements of Tainan’s technology education.
To promote hands-on learning and foster creativity through science and technology education, encouraging a maker mindset and implementing the core values of the technology curriculum.
To develop students’ problem-solving and teamwork skills through collaborative learning models, encouraging diverse and dynamic learning experiences and stimulating creative thinking.
Participants:
7th to 9th grade students from public and private junior high schools in Tainan City.
Upper-grade elementary school students from public and private schools in Tainan City.
Competition Venue:
Activity Center, Jiali Junior High School, Tainan City

Eligibility and Group Categories:
1. Eligibility:
Junior High School Group: 7th–9th grade students from public and private junior high schools in Tainan City.
Elementary School Group: Upper-grade students (middle and senior levels) from public and private elementary schools in Tainan City.
2. Group Categories:
Elementary School Division (limited to 26 teams)
Team size: Up to 8 students per team
Competition items: 4-Lane Dash (King of Beasts + Ant Army) + Gliding Distance
Junior High School Division (limited to 26 teams)
Team size: Up to 8 students per team
Competition items: 4-Lane Dash (King of Beasts + Bug Crisis) + Gliding Distance
Notes:
- Due to venue limitations, only 26 teams each will be accepted for the elementary and junior high divisions.
- In Phase 1 registration, each school is limited to 2 teams.
- If the NNKieh bilingual department of a school has interested students, one additional team spot will be available for external registration (please pay close attention to the registration timeline: registration deadline to high school(Ms Chen: ext. 8005): September 3rd, 2025 before 12 am).
- If slots remain unfilled, Phase 2 registration will open and teams will be accepted in the order of registration.
- Each student may register for only one team. Students found on multiple team rosters will result in disqualification of the related teams.
- Teams may be formed across grades, learning levels, schools, or classes.
- For the 2025 iSTEAM-PowerTech National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, categories include Touch-Control, Remote-Control, Light-Control, and Rural divisions.
- The Tainan City selection will only host the Touch-Control category due to venue and staffing limitations.
- Schools interested in entering other categories (Remote-Control, Light-Control, or Rural) must submit their team list (see attachment) to Jiali Junior High School by November 18, 2025.
- The Education Bureau will compile and submit a unified list of recommended teams for the national competition.

2. Registration Timeline:
- Phase 1: September 1, 2025 (Monday) at 9:00 AM – September 5, 2025 (Friday) at 4:00 PM
- Phase 2: September 9, 2025 (Tuesday) at 9:00 AM – September 15, 2025 (Monday) at 4:00 PM
(Teams will be accepted based on order of registration. If maximum capacity is reached early, registration will close and the final list will be announced in advance.)
