III. Project Duration and Funding
- Implementation Period: From the date of project approval until November 30th, Year 2023.
- Selected teams that pass the evaluation and review process will receive a maximum execution budget of up to NT$200,000. The actual number of selected projects and the allocated amount may vary depending on the number of submissions and the quality of proposals (including the initial project proposal and subsequent revisions).
IV. Eligibility
- Individuals: Must be citizens of the Republic of China, aged 18 or above, and may apply individually. In the case of individuals with no legal capacity or limited legal capacity, written consent from their legal representatives is required.
- Teams: Teams led by domestic junior high school or high school teachers, college/university (including vocational schools and master's/doctoral programs) teachers, students, or organizations are eligible. Each team is limited to 5 members, regardless of nationality. If there are minors, individuals with no legal capacity, or individuals with limited legal capacity within the team, written consent from their legal representatives is required.
- Partnerships, Legal Entities, and Non-Legal Person Groups: Partnerships, associations (including companies), foundations, schools, and other non-legal person groups that focus on marine-related ecology and issues must be registered and located within the territory of the Republic of China. Each partnership, legal entity, or non-legal person group can have a maximum of 5 participants.
V. Registration Procedure
- Registration Period: From now until 12:00 PM on August 4th. Late applications will not be accepted.

- Required Documents:
- Registration Form: By submitting the registration form, the applicant (or the entire team in the case of a team application) agrees to comply with all the rules and regulations stated in the submission guidelines and procedures.
- Research Proposal: Including the topic, research motivation, research design (including research duration), recruitment and training plan for ocean citizen scientists, expected outcomes, funding, and reference materials. The execution field should be within the jurisdiction of the Republic of China. (Format as attached)
- Supporting Documents: (1) Individuals: Copy of national identification card. (2) Teams: Copies of national identification cards (or residence permits for foreigners) for all team members and copies of student identification cards. (3) Partnerships, Legal Entities, and Non-Legal Person Groups: Partnerships should provide the latest commercial registration certificate, legal entities should provide the registration certificate issued by the competent authority, and non-legal person groups should provide the registration certificate issued by the competent authority. Copies of national identification cards (or residence permits for foreigners) should be provided by actual participants.
- The application materials must be complete. Incomplete application content, insufficient documentation, failure to meet the requirements, or late submissions will not be accepted.
